We were visiting my mom from out of town for a few days and my 17yo daughter came down with a high fever. We saw Laurie FNP at RGV urgent care and she was absolutely amazing. Very professional and took time to explain things to my daughter and was willing to do IV medications to avoid a hospital trip if at all possible because my daughter is supposed to leave for church camp in another state in 48 hours. They answered my call with questions after we left and called to check on her this morning. Highly recommend this urgent care. Fast, friendly, professional, and thorough!

The facility was very clean. The front desk lady was very helpful, friendly and professional. The x-ray tech was very friendly and nice. The Dr seemed very knowledgeable and performed the procedure he thought necessary. We were very pleased with the family and staff and will return if necessary for any other issues.

I met with Dr. Moreno because of a sinus infection. I was visiting McAllen for a convention and I googled nearby Urgent Care Centers and RGV showed up. It was easy to make an online appointment and they called to confirm an appointment within one hour. He and his team did a full exam, testing me for COVID and flu to ensure that neither were the cause of my illness. The doctor spent a lot of time with me and confirmed that I had a sinus infection. He then ordered a steroid shot and an antibiotic and I felt much better the next day. Dr. Moreno asked lots of questions and really cared about how I was feeling and what I needed to feel better. I would definitely recommend Dr. Moreno on your next visit to an Urgent Care Center.

He was very patient. He listened and paid attention to all my symptoms. Based on that not only did he give me a Covid test and strap throat test but did a chest Xray and blood tests. I felt he covered all possibilities of what could be going on based on my symptoms. He then explained why based on my results why he was giving me the antibiotic and meds he was recommending. He was genuinely interested in trying to find out what was wrong and how I was feeling.

Yesterday, I had the best experience ever at RGV urgent care the. The front lady was super nice, as well as, the nurse! Dr Moreno was amazing. He attended my son with a smile and make him feel super comfortable. The best part of my experience was that I was in and out in 30 minutes!

Dr Moreno was very fat-shaming during my appointment. I came into the office for nausea and fatigue. He said it was my diet and lifestyle catching up to me. I told him I had lost weight without any changes to my diet or exercise habits and he said "well that's good," without noting it was a 10% loss in weight that was unexplained. I told him I was suffering from depression/anxiety and wasn't sure if that was what was causing some nausea/upset stomach. I told him I was a veterinarian and he said, "well isn't that a comfy job?" Which veterinarians have the highest percent of suicide in the medical profession. At the end of the visit he said, "well I could prescribe you some medication for the nausea but you need to change your diet, it's like prescribing cough medicine for a smoker" implying that being overweight is the same as choosing to be a smoker.

After a couple of days of testing positive for Covid (being triple vaccinated), I decided to visit dr. Carlos Moreno just to see if I had to do anything special (for example, taking Paxlovid) to avoid long covid symptoms. He explained that based on my physical checkup, medical history, and being triple-vaccinated, I would recover just fine on my own. I really liked the fact that I was not prescribed any medications. My visit was a couple of days ago and I'm feeling great now.
